Urban Development Aspects
The orientation of the site as well as the existing situation in relation to the Seestadt Aspern master plan result in the positioning and arrangement of the building masses on the school building site.
The rethinking of the design of the existing school area with regard to its entirety, the formulation of the access, as well as the creation of a distinctive design of the building structure, taking into account an optimal and economic implementation, form the starting point of the conceptual approach.
The surroundings get a concise, urbanistic sign
The independent, solitary arrangement of the three-storey, compact building with connections to the park and the planned 2nd new school building is acheived via a common forecourt.
A compact building with optimal implementation of the premises is planned according to the space and function program.
The structuring and setting of the open space is done by positioning the new building. The creation of a new garden situation with ideally usable open space is directly allocated to the kindergarten and the school for children with special motor needs.
Due to the positioning of the building, optimal sunlight is achieved for all classrooms and group rooms.
