Basic Design Ideas, Explanation of the Basic Considerations for the Preparation of the Preliminary Draft

Education is an important social task and thus an integral part of the urban landscape.
The Campus+ building is a small city within the city with a complex structure of educational and general spaces and thus a further development of the structuralist idea.
Mat typology is used to translate the complex program into a clear, comprehensible, comprehensible and adaptable order. Mat Building consists of three main parts:
the matrix (structural, static system)
the program (beaver)
the location (small-scale, creation of different learning and recreation zones)

Design Principle of the Mat Education Campus:

The matrix: a grid of approx. 7.80 m enables flexible, diverse use and spatial change of the beavers
The programme: Spheres of social interaction, diverse learning in the beaver landscapes and togetherness in the general rooms of the campus building
The place: a home in the campus landscape, habitat for children from 0 to 10

The beaver programme (1-4) will be 2-storeyed with the idea of arranging the rooms of children from 0 to 6 on level 1 and children from 6 to 10 basically on level 2.
2 (to 4) variants of the spatial and functional thematic organisation of the beaver are proposed. Each beaver is different from the others. Due to the open floor plans, which are structured by fixed units ("folios"), a generous, individually designable learning and play landscape can be created from all educational spaces.

Essential Aspects of the Design:

Child-friendly scale, small scale of the beaver, sense of belonging, identity building, demand of all senses.
- A clear development system with short distances and clear structures as well as multiple use of all main rooms.
