1st Prize, Competition

The project consists of an extension to the northeast and northwest of the existing building, with a new main entrance on the northeast corner. The existing buildings on Bankmannring and Chimanigasse were retained. The annex is angular and forms a closed whole with the existing building.

Between the existing angular old building and the extension, a 3-storey central hall is created, which is light-flooded due to the glass roof and ensures easy orientation in the entire school building.

A significant structure above the entrance protrudes in front of the alignment of the existing building, thus formulating a clear sign for the new access.

The extension consists of a ground floor and a base floor with two upper floors. In addition, the existing sports hall will be demolished in a second construction phase and replaced by a new building.
